RemGuard Visual Management FAQs
Q: What is the RemGuard remote monitoring service?
A: Think of it as the first line of defence to a property. Instead of waiting for intruders to force entry and trigger the internal alarm system, the RemGuard service uses external detectors which activate when anybody approaches the building. Images from the CCTV system are transmitted to the RemGuard RVRC (Remote Video Response Centre) where skilled operators determine the appropriate action to take. This may include issuing an audio warning through a PA system to deter further activity, notifying the police and/or notifying the keyholders of the property. If the police need to be called, then the quality of information that the RemGuard operators can give them ensures a speedy response. Each event is recorded automatically by the RVRC so that video evidence can be provided when required.
