A: As a recognised and respected CCTV installer, you may currently be connecting CCTV systems through to remote monitoring service providers. However, these monitoring providers may not be supplying a service that is compliant with BS 8418. Our own Remote Video Response Centre (RVRC) has been accredited to BS 5979 since 1991 and has progressed through BS 5750 and BS EN ISO 9002:1994 during the last 10 years. More recently the RVRC was certified to BS EN ISO 9001:2000 by the NSI. The RemVu Aquila transmission system is also fully compliant with BS 8418. It has 16 camera inputs, 24 alarm inputs, integral ISDN T/A 40 Gb disk for image recording and remote access via LAN / WAN or remote dial up.
